We are proud to announce the next step in our journey to offer our SME and corporate clients a full suite of services across all necessary businesses essential services by welcoming Visionist Consulting to the Group on the 30th July 2018.

Visionist’s wealth of experience and expertise in delivering innovative digital solutions gives us the opportunity to present an even more comprehensive service offering to our 38,000 SME and corporate clients and to pursue new large opportunities in the public sector.

Founded in 2003, Visionist is a technology consultancy company with over 15 years’ government delivery experience and extensive experience in delivering digital solutions to large organisations and not-for-profits. The company’s specialisations span both ServiceOps (IT service management and operations) and DevOps (software development and software operations), including SIAM service management, enterprise architecture, security design and review, digital transformation, cloud-based solutions, and many more services.

The company specialises in identifying and implementing tangible savings for businesses through the integration of disparate and complex systems and digital processes, which strategically aligns with Smarter Business’ procurement and management initiatives.

Peter Miller, Visionist Consulting Client Director, says: “Visionist Consulting joining Smarter Business represents an investment to help our business take its innovative digital transformation and share that with wider government and companies. We’ve managed to turn around various legacy government systems completely, and we look forward to extending our capability to deliver our transformative services more widely and efficiently.”

Smarter Business Chairman, Mark Read, says that Visionist’s attributes will help to further extend the core of the Smarter Business Group’s offerings:
Visionist are instrumental in helping Smarter Business improve its own systems and processes. Now, partnering with Visionist forms part of our ambitious expansion plans as we continue to drive the business forward in line with our stated objective of expanding into other areas of business, including recently deregulated water services, facilities management, energy efficiency and other business-essential services. Through this wide range of services, we continue to identify and implement the best solutions for all our customers. Making Visionist’s end-to-end digital transformation services available to our existing 38,000-strong customer base in the private sector further enhances our own offering, and also allows us to leverage new large opportunities in the public sector.”

As part of our aggressive growth strategy, we have already acquired BAS Energy in 2017. The acquisition of Visionist Consulting further proves Smarter Business’ ambitions and represents the latest exciting chapter in a story that continues to garner attention.
